The Gulf Rd. residents present shared with the commission information about a petition circulated by Gulf Rd. residents to make Gulf Rd. a scenic roadway. There will be a warrant article for the March Town Meeting. If the article is approved, then trees cannot be cut or stone walls interfered with along Gulf Rd. without approval of the Planning Board. (reference RSA 231:157). McKim proposed that there be a joint meeting of the Conservation Commission and the Planning Board. Another point discussed was property that the town has posted no parking signs near the Madame Sherie property.

The board also reviewed a wetland application for the Martini property on Spofford Lake.

State Wide Trails Survey: Tom Duston will do. The Conservation Commission voted to form a Trails Committee with Jeff and Tom as co-chairs. Motion made by Kathy and 2nd Bob.

Granite Bank Property: A letter was received on Jan. 15, 1996 from Evelyn Nadeau (Town of Chesterfield Administrative Assistant) stating that the Conservation Commission cannot accept property. The Selectmen need to hold a public hearing first. McKim met with the Selectmen and they are in support of the Conservation Commission's request of parcel 5ED05. A public hearing will be held at the Selectmen's Meeting. Tim is continueing to work on the county piece.

Snowmobiles: Tom had a concern about the extent of the agreement between the snowmobile group, the conservation commission, and the original Friedsam document. This will be discussed further at future meetings.

Minutes approved for the November and December meetings.

Meeting adjourned at 9:40 p.m Next meeting will be on Wednesday, February 28, 1996 at 7:30 p.m. at the Town Offices.
