New Bridges for Freidsam Town Forest

In our endless struggle with nature’s tendency to block and wash away our trails, several new bridges have been completed in the Freidsam Town Forest this spring
The largest of the spans replaces the "Ladder Bridge" on the Ancient Oaks Trail. The bridge is not only beautifully constructed, but Tom Duston can finally reclaim his ladder.
The other two new bridges cross and re-cross a difficult and frequently washed out segment of the Sargent Trail.
We invite everyone to hike the trails in Freidsam now with a better chance of keeping your feet dry.
